Helping Others — Viewing From Multiple Points

Helping Others

Viewing From Multiple Points

A point of view is how one perceives something.

Always maintain more than one point of view while assisting another individual – your own point of view and the point of view of every other individual involved; also, the point of view of each of the individual's guides, as much as you can. If you are asked to recommend a decision, weigh each point of view for feasibility while admitting to the fact that the validity of all points of view are equal. Then make your recommendation at last partially based on the results of the weighing.

It's hard to show someone how to get there if you don't know where they're starting from.
