The Basic Requirement

I've found that trying to help people when I, personally, was feeling down is hard work. When I'm enjoying life and excited about what I'm doing, then it is no longer work; it is a pleasure.

Helping others to become better than you are takes a lot of effort; it may even be impossible. Helping others using your own experiences, and using yourself as a guide and a source of inspiration, is much easier.

Therefore, the basic requirement is yourself oriented toward light; to be as happy and confident and light-hearted as you can possibly be, and to constantly improve. This may seem selfish, but it really isn't — it is an attempt to place yourself in the position from which you can best help other people.
